Why we built this
Kent has one of the most vibrant independent business communities in the South East — but it's scattered across dozens of towns, villages, and coastal communities. Finding a zero-waste grocery in Whitstable, a repair café in Canterbury, or a sustainably-run restaurant in Margate shouldn't require hours of searching.
CT Local puts independent businesses in one place, makes them easy to discover, and gives each one a home on the web — whether they have a website yet or not.
We prioritise businesses that are locally owned, eco-conscious, and genuinely part of their communities. Not chains, not franchises — just the real thing.
How it works

List or be listed
Businesses can list themselves directly, or anyone can nominate a business they love. Every listing is reviewed by the CT Local team before going live.

Choose a plan
A basic listing is always free. Featured and Premium plans unlock greater visibility, contact details, photo galleries, and priority placement.

Get discovered
Shoppers searching for independent alternatives find your business, see your eco credentials, and click through to your website or visit in person.

We cover every CT postcode across the historic county of Kent — that's 21 postcode districts from Canterbury in the centre to the coastal towns on all three sides.
